Traditional Chinese Medicines, including acupuncture, has been successfully practiced for over 2,000 years and is considered by many to be the original system of holistic medicine. Chinese medicine integrates the use of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and moxibustion in addition to dietary & lifestyle recommendations specific to the individual's constitution and particular health concerns. Treating both the root cause of illness, and the symptoms that arise due to energetic imbalances, results in healing that reaches a deep level and tends to be lasting.

Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary healthcare system of medicine that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. Licensed Naturopathic Physicians are board certified. Treatments utilized to address most health issues include herbal medicines, diet and lifestyle counseling, homeopathic remedies, physical medicine and exercise.

When necessary conventional pharmaceuticals may also be prescribed, naturopathic physicians act to identify and remove obstacles to recovery, and work to facilitate the innate healing ability of the body. The goal of naturopathic medicine is to restore the natural and optimal functioning of the body by using therapies that enhance its ability to heal rather than focusing only on the symptoms that are expressed.

Treatments are also tailored specifically to each client taking into account all factors (physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental and social) involved in overall health. Educating patients in ways to support their own health and prevent future disease is also a key principle of this medicine.

Massage therapy is an ancient healing art that enhances health and well being while providing a host of therapeutic benefits. Massage is an excellent way to decrease stress, melt away muscle tension, relaxing your body & mind while improving range of motion and flexibility. Therapeutic massage also decreases pain, improves circulation & lymph flow, and stimulates the nervous & immune systems, aiding recovery from pain, trauma and surgery.

We are happy to bill your insurance for your massage. Please be aware that a current doctor's prescription (within 6 months) is required with the following information:
Start and End date
ICD-10 Diagnosis code(s) specific to your chief complaint(s)
Number of visits or frequency/duration of visits

Insurance companies require that the massage be medically necessary. Generally this is defined as treating a condition or issue which is impairing one or more daily functions and is expected to measurably improve with treatment. Maintenance of long term issues and wellness massage is not considered medically necessary. Please contact your insurance company for further details specific to your plan.
